Moving…
January 6, 2010

We’ve moved!  You can find the awesome new Daily Photo website here.

The blog and Daily Photo are now sharing a website, something I’ve wanted to do for a while but not had time for.  Thanks to today’s snow and Joe’s afternoon off, we’ve had time to do it.

Having a self-hosted WordPress site also gives us greater control.  We’ve got a new theme which wasn’t available on a wordpress.com blog, and lots of shiny plugins back here where you can’t see them.

Let me know what you think.  My contact details are listed on the new About page, and the Daily Photo will be going up at midnight, as usual.

Enjoy!

Man’s Best Friend
January 3, 2010

This is Brian, our local pub landlord, and Ben, our local pub dog.  Ben is a rescue dog, a Lab-Alsatian cross, and the friendliest dog you could ever meet.  I’m not usually a dog person: I much prefer cats.  I’ll make an exception for Ben, though, especially when he starts with those big, soulful eyes.

Bridge
January 2, 2010

Shamelessly lifted from the same set as the New Year post at Barefoot in the Kitchen.

We went for a walk in the freezing cold in Stratford today, and I’m pleased with the results.  The cloud patterns were beautiful and I love taking photos of reflections.

New Shower
December 30, 2009

One of David’s favourite presents this Christmas was from Joe’s cousin Jenny, who bought him his own shower!  It attaches to the side of the bath and sucks up the water, and he can press the button to fire water at himself, or his poor cousin who was sharing the bath with him.

Merry Christmas!
December 25, 2009

Merry Christmas, everybody!

My paternal grandmother, Nanny, brought this glass goose back from a trip to Canada about ten years ago.  He’s hung on the tree every year since.

Photographers’ Rights
December 3, 2009

I have written here, on my proper writing blog, about photographers’ rights, the current attitude towards photographers in the UK, and how it affects me personally and professionally.  It’s an issue that we should all be paying more attention to, especially the changes in law.  I’d love to hear what people think about it, too.

Whee!  This is the most I’ve ever written on this blog!

See you all tomorrow, at the new time of 5pm.]
